A warm welcome to you.
Choosing the right counsellor for you is a big step. Research has shown that the relationship you have with your counsellor is really important in how successful and positive your counselling experience is.
Please take a look round my website and get in touch if you would like to arrange a chat about how we might work together.
I can offer you a space in which to feel heard, listened to, free from judgement, so that you can be the real “you”.
You would be at the heart of our work, as we go at your pace, in exploring the feelings or difficulties you may be experiencing, helping you to feel empowered in moving forward and making the changes in your life, which you feel are right for you.

More about me and my background
I am a qualified person centred counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy.
As well as having my own practice, I also provide counselling to clients in the NHS, I work with adult clients (18+). My experience includes working with bereavement and loss, trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, low mood and depression. I also have an interest in working with parents and carers of children who have SEND.
My core approach is person-centred, this approach can support us to connect with our sense of self-worth, allowing us to grow and find a way forwards.
Depending on your needs I can incorporate elements of other approaches such as transactional analysis (TA) and mindfulness. These approaches can help us to really get to know ourselves, and can help to improve our relationships with ourselves and those around us.
I teach Level 2 (Certificate in Counselling Skills) with City of York Council.
I am also a volunteer parent mentor for City of York Council, supporting vulnerable parents.
